Rehanna | Class of 2018

Rehanna | Class of 2018

I had the immense joy of photographing Rehanna's senior session and just couldn't get enough of her camera loving self! I have to say, my SRHS Seniors I've photographed so far are total BOSSES. Rehanna not only is a senior and has played sports for years, this year, she is dual enrolling, will graduate with her A.A. in Nursing, and on top of that, works as a lifeguard! Can you say #bossgirl ??? She loves the water so the beach was a natural fit. It was an honor to add Rehanna to my Senior Portfolio!

Erica + Austin | New Smyrna Beach Anniversary Session On Film

Erica + Austin | New Smyrna Beach Anniversary Session On Film

There is not much I can muster to say about this session. Erica is my sister and probably my first friend, and earliest influence over me as my older sibling. One of my earliest memories of her is us fighting over the blonde Barbie in the bathtub (which I wanted because Erica had blonde hair and I got what I thought was muddy auburn and sometimes ginger-y red hair) and then lying in bed scratching each others backs.

Emilee + John David | Old Ruins Anniversary Session In Fernandina On Film

One year of love. I've social media followed Emilee and John David for years. The camera loves them and they love the camera so of course my photographer's heart dreamt! But praise Jesus, I got to photograph their anniversary session! Not everyone is comfortable in front of a camera,(which is okay!!!) but these two know how to WORK IT. It's not just about knowing angles and composition or cute poses with these two. What you see is real life and how they naturally fell into place in front of the camera. And just when you thought their real life love story couldn't get any more romantic....(you know, an elopement a year ago, being traveling beekeepers that get to see the U.S.....)

The wait is difficult. My past two sessions I did completely on film. Of course I chose to do them right before Christmas so the wait for my lab to come back from the holidays is making me crazzzzyyyy! ;P

At my last session, I took a few tester photos on my DSLR before we got started just to have some instant feedback from the shoot (hmmm, ironic right?). And these are they. I can't wait for the film to come back! <3

The Codd+Harwood Family | Treasure Coast Photographer

It was such a joy to photograph something so special. I talk all the time about how I want to be the capturer of special, unforgettable things. To some, while this event may not have been a big deal (compared to say, a wedding or birth) to them, it was the world. This family had not seen their elders in 8 years. To their daughter, it was 8 years without her parents. To their granddaughter, it was also 8 years. To the three babes that played on the playground near where we were photographing, it was the first time they met their great-grandparents. Four generations! That's pretty special. I don't care who ya are.....that's special. I knew it from the moment I got that email in my inbox from their granddaughter who arranged it as a surprise. EEEEEE!!! <3 My heart melted!

Nolan Bear Bryan On Film

Nolan Bear Bryan On Film

Happy Friday, folks! A while back I shot the dreamiest newborn session in Jacksonville. He happens to be our nephew! I may or may not be biased. :) A few days before the session, I acquired another film camera that I was excited to use. The camera was my trusty Canon EOS Elan IIe. I've also been working my way through a box of Portra 400 so I threw a roll of that in the Elan.

Adventures In Film: Chapter 4 | Summer Romance On Film

Adventures In Film: Chapter 4 | Summer Romance On Film

For the past few months, I've been delving into the art of film photography in an attempt to be well read on the two forms of photography. I'd like to eventually offer hybrid film and digital services (yay!). Here are the Intro, Chapter 1, Chapter 2, and Chapter 3 of my film adventures, as well as the original digital gallery of this session! Lately, I've been bringing my film camera along on photoshoots so I can practice. It is SO. MUCH. FUN. There's something really satisfying about hearing the shutter click and the film slide to the next frame. And then there's the waiting....oh, how I love it. I think a new romance is starting....between film and I. Don't worry, digital. I'm not letting you go anytime soon. <3

Moments At Home | Jacksonville Newborn & Lifestyle Photographer

Happy Friday, friends! It's been a few sweet weeks since Nolan Bear Bryan was born on August 8, 2017! When his sweet Mama asked me if I could do some natural, lifestyle-inspired, newborn/family portraits at home, I was absolutely thrilled! You may remember them from her maternity shoot months back! (Also, check out this shoot on FILM!!) :D Not only are we over the moon excited about this sweet boy's arrival, we are having a blast getting to know his personality too! When I arrived, we had hoped he'd be sleepy and moldable after his breakfast, but instead, he switched gears on us and was wide awake pretty much the whole time! He would love Mama when he was hungry and fell asleep in Daddy's arms afterwards since he's comforted by Daddy after eating! LOL! It made for the sweetest shoot.
