Hands are the most expressive part of the human body, second only to the face. When I photograph hands, I can tell a story with ethereal emotion that connects with the viewer in a way many other types of photos can not. I love them in my portraiture and weddings because they denote connection. They tell the viewer the story of a life in one image, as well as evoking memory into the bride/subject whose hands are in the photo.

Many photographers have certain shots they love to take. I’ve seen these majestic zoomed out shots of a bride with a massive train, close-ups of faces, landscapes, ring shots, invitation suites, specialty shots and more. Every photographer loves something different. One of my things I love is hands.
